Corporation made a significant donation to the Citrus Research & Development Foundation (CRDF) — the University of Florida research organization dedicated to helping growers confront and find solutions for issues such as citrus greening. The CRDF provides funding for research and development of innovative solutions to help ensure the survival and competitiveness of the Florida citrus industry. Valent joins a number of leading organizations — from production to processors — that have rallied to support the CDRF’s mission to find control solutions for tough diseases.
“The CRDF commitment to find sustainable and practical methods for management of citrus greening and other industry-threatening diseases is crucial,” said Jeffrey Smith, Valent field market development specialist in the Southeast. “This collaborative effort among basic manufacturers, such as Valent, along with university Extension and commodity organizations through CRDF will help to ensure the Florida citrus industry remains strong and profitable for years to come.”
