FIFRA Legislation Sending Strong Message to EPA

There are now bills in both the house and senate clarifying that the use of a pesticide consistent with its registration under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) should not be subject to a costly, redundant and unnecessary permit process under the Clean Water Act. And Keith Menchey, manager of science and environmental issues for the National Cotton Council, says even if the bills do not pass this year, it puts a place holder in for next congress as well as sends a strong message to the EPA.
