Florida Farm Bureau honored Southeast Agnet founders Gary Cooper and Robin Loftin-Cooper during the 66th annual meeting last week in Daytona Beach.
The Coopers received the “Ag Journalists of the Year” award for outstanding coverage of agriculture. In accepting the award, Gary talked about the future of agricultural communications.
“Technologies now exist for you as producers to pick and choose your information sources and get far better information, far easier, than has ever before been possible. I encourage you to embrace these new technologies and I ask for your help to encourage a younger generation of farm people to not only embrace them from an information consumption perspective, but to also consider using these technologies to communicate to, for and about agriculture.”
Congratulations to Gary and Robin!
