Following Gov. Rick Scott’s visit to Florida Citrus Mutual’s crop forecast breakfast last week, Mutual officials feel the governor better understands their major concerns. In the first report, Mutual President Vic Story says the governor was told how important citrus is to Florida, and says he believes the industry’s relationship with Scott has improved.
In the other reports, Mutual CEO Mike Sparks talks about discussions he, Story and the governor had about HLB, the orange juice tariff and citrus jobs.
