National Peanut Month is an opportunity for peanut lovers to learn more about this wonderful agricultural commodity. The Georgia Peanut Commission’s (GPC) social media accounts provide those interested a great chance to indulge in all things peanuts; from its healthy benefits to new recipes that can be used at home.
Joy Crosby, assistant executive director at the Georgia Peanut Commission, discussed the commission’s promotional plan during March.
“Throughout the month of March, we’ll have a variety of promotions. This year we are focusing a lot of those on our social media channels where we’re promoting peanuts and promoting recipes,” Crosby said. “We also will be working with some registered dieticians on creating new peanut recipes and promoting those on social media. If you are following the Georgia peanuts on social, be sure to check that out for various trivia questions, fun facts, new recipes; we’ll have it all month long on our social media.”
