The meeting is free and is slated to start at 8 a.m. It will feature UGA Cotton Production Workshops that will be held throughout the day, focusing on cotton agronomics, physiology, economics, irrigation, precision agriculture technologies, entomology, plant pathology and soil fertility. UGA Cotton Team members, such as Camp Hand, UGA Extension cotton agronomist; Phillip Roberts, UGA Extension cotton entomologist; and Bob Kemerait, UGA Extension plant pathologist, will lead the workshops.
The program’s featured speakers will include Stanley Culpepper, UGA Professor and Extension weed scientist; Jeff Kuckuck, senior government relations director at the National Cotton Council of America; William Kimbrell, president and CEO with Cotton Incorporated.
