When discussing promotions for the Georgia Beef Board (GBB) each year, you most likely have heard us mention burger weeks. As a matter of fact, one of those events was held last month in Macon.
And while some of those have turned into yearly events, a brand new one is in the plans for 2025. Efforts have started to put together an Athens Burger Week next year, a collaborative event for the GBB with another sponsor.
It will be an opportunity to bring the popular event to Athens to see what restaurants in that town can do to create a variety of burger choices. The event is planned to get not only locals involved, but also students and their parents visiting the college town.
It will be just another opportunity for the GBB to put beef front and center with a promotion that has proven very popular in other cities around the state. It’s been noted these events have really been impactful in other areas and it’s hoped it will do the same in Athens.
While the exact dates for the 2025 event have yet to be set, efforts have been underway to do that as many folks are looking forward to having a Burger Week in Athens. Anytime promotions like this can not only get restaurants involved but also consumers, it’s a positive event for the beef industry in Georgia.
More details will be coming sometime next year.
