At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended December 06, 2024, receipts at 16 markets totaled 16,290 head compared to 0 last week due to markets closed for Thanksgiving and 14,787 last year. Compared to two weeks ago: Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 5.00 lower, slaughter bulls sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher. Feeder cattle sold sharply higher. Trade active with good to very good demand on feeder cattle. Replacement cattle sold steady. Year-to-date receipts totaled 509,738 compared to 602,291 last year.
