At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended September 27, 2024, receipts at 16 markets totaled 10,931 head compared to 11,106 last week and 15,013 last year. Compared to last week: Slaughter cows sold steady to 3.00 lower, slaughter bulls sold mostly steady. Feeder steers sold 3.00 to 7.00 higher, feeder heifers and feeder bulls sold steady to 4.00 lower. Trade active with moderate to good demand on feeder cattle. Replacement cattle sold steady. Year-to-date receipts totaled 397,699 compared to 473,961 last year.
