AL Livestock Market Report:

At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended September 06, 2024, receipts at 16 markets totaled 14,359 head compared to 14,653 last week and 14,281 last year.  Compared to last week: Slaughter cows sold steady to 3.00 higher, slaughter bulls sold steady to 4.00 lower.  Feeder steers sold steady to 4.00 higher, feeder heifers and feeder bulls sod mostly steady. Trade active with moderate to good demand on feeder cattle. Replacement cattle sold steady to weaker.  Year-to-date receipts totaled 360,210 compared to 424,569 last year.
