The 2024 Citrus & Specialty Crop Expo kicks off this Wednesday, August 21st at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.
This is the second year for the Expo at this location, as many in the industry were pleased with how the overall event went last year. This includes the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS), as their citrus extension booth was a hit and will be once again located near the dining areas on the trade show floor.
The 2024 Expo’s educational program will cover a lot of bases, while the general session will include a conversation about the ongoing farm bill debate. You’ll be able to learn more on where the legislation currently stands and the specialty crop priorities for which the industry is advocating.
Plus, a grower panel at this year’s event will feature how farms in Central Florida are connecting directly with consumers through retail markets, u-picks and other methods.
And the Expo’s trade show will include a large variety of exhibitors for growers to visit and learn more about products and services needed on the farm.
Growers from across the Southeast are invited to attend. Click here to learn more and register for the big value-packed two-day event.
