At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended June 28, 2024, receipts at 16 markets totaled 12,104 head compared to 9,781 last week and 13,063 last year. Compared to last week: Slaughter cows sold steady to 4.00 lower, slaughter bulls sold 4.00 to 6.00 higher. Feeder steers and feeder bulls sold steady to 4.00 higher, feeder heifers sold 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Trade active with moderate to good demand on feeder cattle. Replacement cows sold mostly steady. Year-to-date receipts totaled 248,905 compared to 296,609 last year.
