The Georgia Cotton Commission and University of Georgia (UGA) Extension Cotton Team encourage producers to tune into the Talkin’ Cotton Podcast to find up-to-date information about this year’s crop, with planting season underway.
Camp Hand, UGA Extension cotton agronomist, talked about the podcast and where interested listeners can tune in.
“It’s new this year. The peanut one has done really well, and that’s kind of the reason that we started this. Growers asked for it. Agents asked for it. That’s kind of where it’s coming from,” Hand said. “It’s been really fun so far. It’s called the Talkin’ Cotton podcast. We call it Talkin’ Cotton with the UGA Cotton Team. It’s on Apple, Spotify, Amazon; anywhere you can find podcasts, it should be there.”
The podcast is 30 minutes long and involves UGA specialists like Hand, Glen Harris, UGA Extension soil specialist; Phillip Roberts, UGA Extension cotton entomologist; and Wes Porter, UGA Extension precision agriculture and irrigation specialist.
