Florida Producers Invited to Attend Peanut, Cotton Meetings

There are a variety of meetings coming up that Florida peanut and cotton producers are invited to take part in.

The first is coming up Thursday, February 22nd, as the Florida Peanut Federation (FPF) will hold a preseason meeting at the Hamilton County Extension Office in Jasper. It starts at 5:00pm EST, as various speakers will discuss varieties, diseases, economics, trials, and more. A meal is included, but if planning to attend please RSVP by calling 386-792-1276.

On Friday, February 23rd, the Florida Cotton Growers Association (FCGA) will hold their 3rd annual meeting at the UF/IFAS Jackson County Extension Office in Marianna. It all starts at 10 am CST, and lunch will be served. All Florida cotton producers are invited, and at the event growers are encouraged to become a member. FCGA membership dues are only $50/producer and $100/associate. Attendees are asked to RSVP to Maddie Campbell (maddie.campbell@ffbf.org) or call 352-538-9321 so they can ensure an accurate headcount for lunch.

This Saturday, February 24th, the FPF will hold their annual membership meeting and banquet. It starts at 6:00pm EST at the Florida Gateway Fairgrounds in Lake City. Learn more about it on their website, floridapeanuts.org

The Florida Peanut Producers Association (FPPA) invites producers to attend their annual meeting. It will be held February 29th at the Jackson County Agricultural Complex Conference Center in Marianna. The program and dinner begins at 6:30pm CST. If you plan to attend, please contact the FPPA office at 850-526-2590. 

Then on March 5th, the FPF will hold their Lafayette County peanut production meeting. This event will take place at the Mayo Community Center in Mayo, FL. starting at 5:00pm EST. A meal will be provided but if planning to attend please RSVP by calling 386-294-1279.
