Registration is open for the Georgia Cattlemen’s Association (GCA) Cattlemen’s Connection quarterly meeting November 3rd, 2023. It will be held in Athens, and this meeting will be production focused with a pen working demonstration to share tips and tricks of cattle handling. There will also be a calving simulator instructional talk by Dr. Angie McDaniel, and a chute side cattle working demonstration. The event will be capped off by a GCA/Georgia Beef Board update and a talk on cattle reproduction by Dr. Pedro Fontes.
The GCA Young Cattlemen’s Council is working hard to organize this event and will take the lead on this educational opportunity. It will be held at the UGA Instructional Arena in Watkinsville. Lunch will be provided and the cost of attendance is $15/person.
And another date to mark on your calendar is March 12-15, 2024. That’s when the GCA Convention will be held in Columbus.
