The Georgia Cotton Commission (GCC) encourages producers to be prepared for the upcoming season by knowing their input costs and availability.
Taylor Sills, executive director of the GCC, discusses the inputs issue that is prevalent throughout the agricultural industry.
“Inputs in general are on growers’ minds. We’ve got growers concerned about input supply, input price. If you’re concerned about these inputs, get with your retailers and company reps as soon as possible to try to make sure you get what you need going into this next season,” Sills said.
University of Georgia (UGA) Extension cotton agronomist Camp Hand believes Georgia’s acreage will remain the same this year. There was 1.17 million certified acres last year in Georgia.
