USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Florida has announced they are now accepting applications from agricultural producers and forest landowners for the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP).
And to help you with more information, NRCS will conduct a virtual workshop and overview of CSP next Thursday, November 18th. There will be two opportunities to take part in the virtual workshop, as the first session will run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern, with the second session from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern. The ZOOM link for both meetings is: https://zoom.us/j/7314470913
CSP provides assistance to improve soil, water, air, plants, animals, and related resources. The program is for working lands, including cropland, pastureland, rangeland, nonindustrial private forest land and agricultural land under Indian tribe jurisdiction.
While NRCS does accept CSP applications year-round, Florida producers and landowners should apply by December 10, 2021 to be considered for funding in the current cycle.
