The Georgia Cotton Commission (GCC) reminds producers about enrollment in upcoming webinars hosted by the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol. The webinars’ focus is helping growers understand how the program helps meet industry demands while documenting and verifying sustainability practices already implemented in farms.
Taylor Sills, executive director of the GCC, discusses the importance of enrolling in these upcoming webinars.
“As we’ve discussed several times, the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol is the cotton industry’s sustainability platform for both growers and brands and retailers. We’ve had a lot of success, the industry has, in signing up brands and retailers to be a part of this program. They’re continuing their outreach to growers to reach their goal in signing up new members,” Sills said.
The remaining webinars will be held on Nov. 2, Nov. 16, Dec. 9 and Dec. 14. They will start at 9 a.m. (Est.). Those interested can register at the Georgia Cotton Commission website or U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol website.
Enrollment for the 2021 crop is open. For growers not yet participating, the webinars will provide an opportunity to learn about program benefits and ask questions. Speakers include Trust Protocol representatives and grower members.
