The Georgia Cotton Commission (GCC) and Georgia Peanut Commission (GPC) remind producers about the upcoming University of Georgia (UGA) Cotton and Peanut Research Field Day on the UGA Tifton Campus on Wednesday, Sept. 8.
Both commission groups sponsor the event. It is held every year to provide growers timely information and about research being conducted on campus, says Taylor Sills, executive director of the Georgia Cotton Commission.
“Next Wednesday, (Sept.) 8, ourselves and the Georgia Peanut Commission are going to host a field day at UGA Tifton to highlight the work that our research and Extension specialists are doing on behalf of the cotton and peanut growers across the state. We hope to have a good crowd,” Sills said. “I would encourage all producers to register for the event and come and learn what work has been done on their behalf and what work is being done with their checkoff funds. Just come and learn what’s going on.”
There is no cost to attend the field day. Call Ashley Golden at 229-386-3366 or email her at ashley.golden@uga.edu to RSVP.
The event will start at 8 a.m. It will conclude just after lunch. Click here for the field day agenda.
