The 2021 Cattle Industry Convention is underway at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee. Today kicks off three full days of events, with the NCBA Trade Show starting later this afternoon. Various issues affecting producers will be discussed this week, and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) President Jerry Bohn says one of those is taxes.

That will be just one of the many topics discussed this week, and Bohn hopes cattle producers will take part in this year’s event.

Various sessions will be held this week, including the NCBA State of the Industry & D.C. Issues Update. NCBA’s policy staff will discuss key priorities that include improving the business climate for producers, returning market leverage to the side of producers, increasing processing capacity, promoting voluntary conservation programs that incentivize producers’ good work, expanding trade and market access for U.S. beef overseas and more.

The Cattle Industry Convention & NCBA Trade Show runs through Thursday. For more information visit convention.ncba.org.
