USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Florida will conduct a State Technical Committee meeting June 23 from 10 a.m.- 12 noon by web conference. NRCS will seek recommendations and provide a report for fiscal year 2022 natural resource and program priority decisions.
Florida State Conservationist Juan Hernandez, who will chair the meeting, says he seeks advice from the farmers, ranchers and individuals and groups who actually make up the Committee.
While the State Technical Committee has no implementation or enforcement authority, USDA gives strong consideration to the Committee’s recommendations.
Individuals who require special accommodations for the meeting or materials in an alternative format or language contact Nina Bhattacharyya, 352-338-9554 by June 9.
More information about the State Technical Committee meeting can be found on the Florida NRCS website.
