The National Conservation Planning Partnership (NCPP) is urging landowners to take part in a survey to obtain feedback on ways to strengthen the value of a conservation plan and to improve the delivery of conservation planning assistance to landowners.
NCPP is a partnership between USDA’s National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), National Association of Conservation Districts, National Association of RC&D Councils, National Conservation District Employees Association and National Association of State Conservation Agencies.
They are conducting this national survey to expand on the feedback heard in NCPP’s previous employee and cooperator listening sessions in 2018 and 2019. As a result of those sessions, hundreds of suggestions were received and recorded and have been moved forward to improve the conservation planning experience.
A conservation plan is a record of the cooperator’s decisions and supporting information for the treatment of assessed natural resource concerns that meet the cooperator’s operational, economic and land resource objectives.
The results of the survey, which will be available May 2021, will be used along with previous feedback to provide producers with an improved conservation planning product that is more personalized and responsive to their needs.
