This year’s Sunbelt Ag Expo may have been cancelled amid COVID-19 concerns, but the Expo remains a vital source of information thanks to its monthly blog series.

Since early September, Sunbelt has offered its blog series to keep farmers, homeowners and agricultural industry leaders abreast about the latest news and information relevant to that time of year.

“The purpose of the blog is to keep information out and keep Expo on people’s minds as we move through the end of the fall and the first of 2021,” Sunbelt Executive Director Chip Blalock said. “It’ll consist of hay, backyard gardening, the harvest, livestock, farmer of the year, educating the next generation and wrapping it up this spring with Expo 2021. Check out our social media and our website to see those latest blog posts.”

October’s topic focused on backyard gardening. In November, it’ll focus on the harvest.

According to sunbeltexpo.com, the Expo features a 100-acre exhibit area adjoining a 600-acre working research farm. Research is conducted on popular commodities like cotton, peanuts, corn, grain sorghum, bermudagrass forages and even variety trials with sunflowers.
