Timely topics and university research will headline a University of Georgia (UGA) Cotton and Peanut Field Day on Sept. 9.

The Georgia Cotton Commission and Georgia Peanut Commission want growers to be mindful of the event which will be virtual this year. Interested producers and industry leaders will be able to learn from UGA specialists representing both commodity groups.

Details Being Finalized

Details are still being finalized. But the event will feature a morning session from 10 a.m. to noon and an afternoon session from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

“We will have some timely topics as we’re finishing up this year. We’re also presenting information that could be of value, as we’re making plans for 2021,” said Phillip Roberts, University of Georgia Extension cotton entomologist. “No. 1, just to see the great research and work that’s being done and being supported by the Cotton Commission and the Peanut Commission. Just trying to help agriculture be more sustainable, more profitable in the future.”
