(FCA) — With a heavy heart, the Florida Cattlemen’s Association has cancelled the 2020 Florida Cattlemen’s Annual Convention & Allied Tradeshow scheduled for June 23-25, 2020 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, Florida.
The health and safety of attendees as well the logistical complications due to the COVID-19 pandemic, made the decision imminent. “This was not an easy decision, our Executive Officers and staff struggled with it over the past few weeks,” said Matt Pearce, President of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association “During this difficult time, the health and well-being of our members and convention attendees is FCA’s top priority. With that in mind, this tough decision was made. I am confident that we will recover from this and have a great event in 2021”.
The Omni has said if Conference attendees still want to come and enjoy the resort in June , they can contact the resort at https://www.omnihotels.com/hotels/orlando-championsgate or call 1-800 –THE-OMNI (800-843-6664). The rooms will be cancelled but attendees just need to call into the hotel directly at the above information to make a new reservation.
In the forthcoming weeks, the Florida Cattlemen’s Association will give 2020 registrants and tradeshow exhibitors a full refund and we will be in touch with sponsors about how to proceed going forward. In the next few weeks we will put plans in place to conduct the necessary business meetings of FCA and will be notifying our leaders, board members, county affiliates and membership.
The 2021 FCA Annual Convention & Allied Trade Show is scheduled for June 15-16-17, 2021 at the JW Marriott Resort, Marco Island Florida.
