For the next three years, Georgia Organics will be working to increase the domestic consumption and sales from local organic farms in Georgia to restaurants in metro Atlanta. According to their Organic Procurement Coordinator, Lauren Cox, this effort is called the Farm to Restaurant Program.
Each year of the campaign, they will work with a group of farmers committed to selling to restaurants in order to fine tune their growing practices. And a reminder, the Georgia Organics Conference and Expo will be held Feb 7-8 at the Classic Center in Athens.
