We told you last month that the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) noted it is specifically seeking solutions to the labeling requirements and verification procedures in place for beef products labeled as “Product of the U.S.A,” “Made in the U.S.A.” or similar origin claims. The association is hoping this will resolve beef producers’ concerns, meet America’s trade obligations and prevent confusion among consumers. NCBA Vice President of Government Affairs Ethan Lane explains what NCBA is working to get done.
Lane explains what the next step is in this process.
NCBA said it and its state affiliates are committed to working together with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to bring forward a meaningful solution on this. Learn more on the NCBA website (ncba.org).
