Harvest continues to move along across the Southeast. USDA meteorologist Brad Rippey has the latest on the cotton harvest.
And Rippey has an update on the peanut harvest.
In Alabama, 79 percent of the cotton crop has been harvested, which compares to 69 percent this time last year. 94 percent pf the peanuts have been harvested, which compares to only 81 percent last year.
In Florida, 59 percent of the cotton crop has been harvested, which compares to only 30 percent this time last year. 99 percent of peanuts have been harvested, which compares to 97 percent last year.
In Georgia, 74 percent of the cotton crop has been harvested, which compares to 60 percent this time last year. 93 percent of the peanut crop have been harvested, which compares to 85 percent last year.
