With winter right around the corner, you don’t want a little snowfall or cold weather to slow down your growing your own vegetables. Cathy Isom tells you about some of the best veggies to grow indoors. That’s coming up on This Land of Ours.
Best Veggies to Grow Indoors
Some your favorite foods don’t necessarily need to come from an outdoor garden. They can easily be grown indoors. Such as carrots, beets, onions, garlic, herbs, tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, potatoes, and avocados, and much, much more. All that’s needed is a little natural light, a proper growing space, soil, the right container, water, and a little TLC.
Of course you’ll want to know which fruits and veggies do the best in the zones you live in by doing a little bit of homework. But with the proper lighting and space, you can grow just about any favorite food that you love. You might even be surprised by what could be grown indoors, including bell peppers, eggplant, sprouts, radishes, beans, and peas.
