The 2018 Cattle Industry Summer Business Meeting will take place Aug. 1–4 in Denver, Colorado. The annual event features meetings of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion & Research Board, American National CattleWomen, Inc. and the National Cattlemen’s Foundation. The cattle industry comes together twice a year to discuss current issues, to work on programs and initiatives, and to set the course for various projects.
Cattle industry members will meet in both NCBA policy committees and subcommittees, as well as joint committees and subcommittees to discuss current developments, to work on initiatives developed at the Annual Cattle Industry Convention and to make plans for the upcoming fiscal year that starts Oct. 1.
During the event, the Environmental Stewardship Award reception will be held to honor this year’s regional winners. The annual award program recognizes cattle producers across the nation who use innovative practices to protect and enhance natural resources while maintaining or increasing the profitability of their businesses. The regional winners compete for the national award, which will be presented during the 2019 Cattle Industry Convention Jan. 30–Feb. 1 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
