The Retiring National Cattlemen’s Beef Association President offers his final review on the state of the beef industry.

Nebraska cattle feeder and producer, Craig Uden, will give up the mantle of president of NCBA, and pass it on to President-elect Kevin Kester of California this week, during the NCBA and Cattle Industry Convention in Phoenix, Arizona.

He offered some insight into how the Trump White House has impacted the beef industry in its first year.

However, Uden notes, there are many other issues in the months ahead, including trade, the Electronic Logging Device mandate for the trucking industry and the next farm bill. Still, overall, he says the mood of the beef industry is good.
