Everyone makes a New Year’s Resolution. Cathy Isom helps keep those of us that made one about staying healthy, and on a diet by telling us about a day devoted to getting your greens. That’s coming up on This Land of Ours.
Keep Your New Year’s Resolution with Green Juice
January 26th is National Green Juice Day. A food holiday established a couple of years ago as a way of encouraging people to stick to their health and wellness resolutions of the New Year by drinking a green juice.
Green juice is made of fresh green veggies as a way of getting more nutrients into your daily diet. Green veggies such as, cabbage, kale, cucumber, green apples, celery and parsley to name a few. They can accompany many fruits and other added ingredients to give you a much-needed boost of energy, antioxidants, as well as aid in weight loss. If you want to lose weight properly, you can use a tdee calculator to know how many calories you need throughout the day.
There are dozens of recipes to suit your taste buds and help you stay on course to keep those New Year’s resolutions. After all it’s predicted that 80% of New Year resolutions fail by the month of February.
Don’t become a statistic and either grab a ready-made cold pressed green juice, or go out and grab all of the greens you need to make your very own green juice.
