Whether it’s your first or your third cup of coffee, you should know today is National Coffee Day. So drink up! You might even find lots of coffee “specials”, or deals, at your local coffee shop. The origin and history of coffee dates back to the 10th century, and possibly earlier, with a number of reports and legends surrounding its first use.

Today, Hawaii is the ONLY state in This Land of Ours that is able to grow coffee commercially. For the expert coffee drinker, there are four components of a perfect cup: aroma, body, acidity, and flavor. When it comes down to it, coffee lovers cherish the flavor as well as the caffeinated boost this roasted bean gives morning or night, black or with cream and sugar. Hot or cold it can provide enjoyment even when decaffeinated!

More than 50 countries around the world produce coffee. Brazil is # 1 and Colombia #2.
