Managing forages and grazing are critical elements of a successful cattle operation. So Southeast cattle producers are encouraged to attend the 2017 Forage Conference, coming up November 29 at Lakepoint State Park in Eufaula, Alabama.
Alabama Extension Animal Scientist, Dr. Kim Mullenix, says “Attendees will have the opportunity to see current forage research as well as demonstration projects. They also will learn ways to improve soil and plant health to sustain year-round grazing systems.”
In addition to the conference, there will be a pre-conference tour of the Wiregrass Research and Extension Center in Headland, Alabama on November 28.
Registration is open and the cost for both the pre-conference tour and the forage conference is $65 per person. The cost to attend just the forage conference is $50 per person.
