According to USDA’s weekly crop progress report, 97 percent of the Alabama cotton crop was setting bolls with 6 percent of those bolls opening. In Florida, 94 percent of the cotton crop had set bolls with 20 percent of those opening. And in Georgia, 94 percent of the cotton crop has set bolls with 11 percent of those already opening.
