We told you recently that USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Alabama was accepting applications for the Urban High Tunnel Initiative, and the fact the deadline was nearing. But they just announced that the deadline to sign-up for this program has been extended to May 20th. Through the program, NRCS Alabama will provide financial assistance to urban farmers to install high tunnel systems through its Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP).
