Rubio on Importance of Citrus Industry

rubio-citrus-grove-tour-300x169A good crowd was on hand Wednesday at the Dark Hammock Legacy Ranch near Lake Placid to hear the first citrus crop forecast of the season from USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. One of those in attendance was Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who talked with Southeast AgNet about the importance of agriculture to Florida, and the downward turn the citrus industry is experiencing.
