La Nina Is Suddenly Here

la-ninaWe told you a few weeks ago that El Nino had ended and outlooks were suggesting a return for La Nina, a cooling of tropical Pacific waters that some view as the opposite of El Nino. The U.S. Climate Prediction Center forecast was for it to develop by year’s end, but some models said it could develop sooner. And according to USDA meteorologist Brad Rippey, it looks as though that is what is happening.
