Thanks to the state’s large specialty crop sector, honeybees are big business in Florida and David Westervelt, assistant chief of apiary for the Division of Plant Industry at the Florida Department of Agriculture, says that is why they have a department dedicated solely to the needs and concerns of honeybee growers.
