The Citrus Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) in January approved a license agreement between the University of Florida and Southern Gardens Citrus regarding research into the use of citrus tristeza virus (CTV) in the fight against HLB, or greening disease. In the first report, Calvin Arnold, director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s laboratory in Ft. Pierce, provides an overview of the science to be employed. In the second report, CRDF Chief Operations Officer Harold Browning briefly discusses the license agreement and also describes the scientific effort.
