When the former Florida Citrus Industry Research Coordinating Council (FCIRCC) recently became the Industry Research Coordinating Committee of the Citrus Research and Development Foundation, foundation Chief Operations Officer Harold Browning discussed the new committee’s role in the foundation. He notes that although HLB and canker are the foundation’s top priorities now, the foundation could tackle any problems the industry wants it to in the future. That’s part of the reason it’s important to have this new committee identifying research priorities and gaps in needed research. Browning also discusses the role of former FCIRCC director John Jackson in relationship to the foundation.
