The Senate Ag Committee is continuing its fast start in devising its version of the 2012 Farm bill by holding its first Farm Bill field hearing on May 31st. However, House Ag Committee Chairman Frank Lucas still believes 2012 is the best time to write the policy. But he does admit that the timeline could be altered due to ongoing budget discussions.
