FL to Receive Funds to Continue Gulf Seafood Testing & Marketing

Over a year after the Deepwater Horizon exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, the Florida Department of Agriculture continues to collected and test seafood samples with all results showing that Florida Gulf seafood is safe to eat. And the testing will continue as an agreement has been reached with BP for $20 million over the next three years to enhance the Department’s testing capabilities and bolster its marketing efforts.
