In the first of these reports, Florida Citrus Mutual CEO Mike Sparks offers an overview of efforts to document Florida citrus’ good agricultural practices (GAPs) ensuring food safety. He notes in the second report that there has been some controversy in the formulation of the GAPs. Finally, he reports that the effort has been led by the fresh fruit industry but may be adapted to the processed industry as well.
