Mongi Zekri, a multi-county citrus Extension agent with the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, will be honored with an Art Hornsby Distinguished Extension Professional and Enhancement Award. The award recognizes a state or county Extension faculty member with a term professorship for creative contributions and outreach programs. Zekri will receive a one-time $3,000 salary supplement, $2,000 for Extension program support, and a commemorative certificate. Additional Extension awards will be announced on September 4 at the Extension Professional Associations of Florida conference in Naples.
