Florida Peach Marketing Order Hearings

Randall Weiseman Florida, Fruits, Specialty Crops

Work has been underway to get a Florida Peach Growers Association up and running, as the steps have been taken to investigate the possibility of getting a statewide marketing order for peaches that will help to provide resources for marketing and research. Two public hearings must be held before a vote can go to growers in the state. The first one will be on May 12 during the next Peach Roundtable in Dade City at 10:00 a.m. at the Pasco County Extension office. The second public hearing will be on May 20 at 2:00 p.m. at the Polk County Extension office in Bartow. To learn more, click here.
