Mike Garavaglia, president of the Packers of Indian River and a Florida citrus commissioner, in the first report says the cause of reduced fresh citrus shipments from Florida is a production shortage, and not a lack of sales.
In the second report, he addresses the Florida citrus industry’s reaction to a 2011 natural disaster in Japan, and fresh fruit sales to Japan since the incident.
