Florida Citrus Mutual spokesman Andrew Meadows in the first report says the citrus industry came through the Tuesday night-Wednesday morning freeze “in pretty good shape.” He tells what happened in different areas of the citrus belt.
In the second report, Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam discusses the lack of dormancy in citrus trees prior to this week’s freeze and mitigating factors that apparently kept citrus from being severely harmed.
