The Georgia Peanut Commission hosted their 22nd annual Peanut Tour with attendees from across the globe. The two day event crossed the southern part of Georgia with a variety of stops including farming operations, research plots and production plants. The tour also included a stop at Jimmy Carter’s boyhood home where the former President welcomed the attendees and spoke about his experiences as farmer and diplomat. Attendees ranged from fellow farmers eager to learn more about research findings to represenatives from Kraft Foods excited to see the production side of the peanut industry.
