Kater HakeAs part of the research efforts from the Cotton Board’s research and promotion program, Kater Hake, Vice President of Agricultural Research for Cotton Incorporated has been working on a big hairy audacious goal to dramatically cut nitrogen inputs. Hake says they have seen progress in the effort by breeding for varieties that sacrifice protein in favor of oil and fiber.
